W5: Personal Utopia - Designing your Ideal Society

The Ideal Society Idea !

According to the Cambridge dictionary, society is a large group of people who live together in an organized way, making decisions about how to do things and sharing the work that needs to be done. An ideal society for me is one where people are able to be treated equally and are able to express themselves freely. Unity and peace would be a prominent trait in all society has to provide. Besides these basic tings, I would like to explore how this ideal society would work in terms of governance, education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and community life. 

Governance

Governing would definitely be a lot more transparent and open in terms of knowing those who are running or officials in the office. There'll be more thorough background checks and evaluations on their ethics and conduct. This is important to see whether the people in power have the mettle and good heart to govern over the people. It would also be good to encourage the younger generation to take up roles of power and allow the people to also be able to have a say in certain decisions as well.

Education

The education system would likely be changed heavily, and grades will also have different criteria to be achieved. Exams and tests will not be as important but a lot more focus on co-curricular activities as well. People will be able to find things they are good at doing or enjoy and will be able to see possible career paths under their interests or even just try to hone their skills to the best of their abilities. They will have a broader range of things to explore and there is no limit on who can learn and what age. The main gist is to make education fun and beneficial for people of all ages.

Healthcare

Healthcare will be more accessible for everyone. This can be done by increasing the workforce and allow more training as well as increase the facilities. Most of the time people can't access he necessary healthcare due to financial concerns. Enhancing the affordability of healthcare services and expanding insurance coverage can help out in this area for those who are less fortunate. Leveraging technology in this case would also prove to be helpful and beneficial to the general public as well. Approved health apps or digital tools can help educate, self-manage and enhance the public's access to healthcare.

Environmental Sustainability

Encouraging waste reduction and increasing recycling programs and reusing items is a start. Being able to make it interesting and engaging for the public is also important to encourage people to care and to have fun while saving the environment is also another key point to helping out. It is also good to encourage energy conserving methods and to propose doable alternatives as well.

Community Life

Enhancing the public spaces and putting care into its cleanliness and visuals is important to help improve the community life. Encouraging public art in such places is also another thing that would be great and to really feel that there are many talented, different people in the community. Fostering inclusivity and diversity is a great way to boost the community's life as well. This can be done by hosting events, raising awareness and making area accessible for those with specific needs. Anti-discrimination policies will also be upheld to ensure a safe and peaceful life for the community.

Conclusion

All these elements really add a feeling of being cared for and that your needs are met. Its important to show people you care and that you're listening. It also just helps to create a great environment inside society as well to really just encourage growth as a society.
